This week as Emily continues her quest to get to know all the bachelors and to ultimately find true love in a father figure for her daughter, Ricki, there seemed to be a higher level of expectation in her judgment of the men this week.

The group date started out as fun in the park, throwing around a football and then it quickly turned serious when Emily’s friends turned up to interview the men.

The questions were direct and the ladies did not hold back their opinions. With questions like, “Have you ever cheated?”, “Do you want children?”, “Have you ever had a one night stand?” to demands like, “Take your shirt off!”, “Show us what you got!”, and “Let’s see some push ups!”.  I think the friends came through in helping Emily weed out the fluff!

At the end of the day, Sean seemed to come through with flying colors. Spiritual, honest, open to embracing Ricki as his own daughter, and that hot bod of his – he is a keeper for sure!  Yes, honey, you can keep your shirt off!

On to the one on one date. Emily and Arie take off to Tennessee and have the Dollywood amusement park all to themselves.  This is Emily’s happiest place on Earth.

Emily describes Arie as “super chill!”  Arie describes Emily (and Dollywood) as “cute ‘n’ country.” When Dolly Parton shows up to serenade the couple, Emily proclaims again and again, “ I could die right now!” (I know the feeling, this show is getting a bit too country for me! I might die right now!)

Dolly gives her personal advice to Emily on finding love and sings to her a song that she wrote for the love of her life, her husband of 43 years, “True Love Finds a Way.” Emily is impressed that Dolly Parton knows her story.  Awe! (C’mon, everyone!  It is pretty cool that DP knows Emily’s personal life story!  Awe!!)

The night is full of surprises! Towards the end of their elegant dinner, Emily picks up the rose and begins a labored effort to explain what is wrong with their connection, only to reveal that she is just kidding and that she couldn’t go through with it. That was so mean of Emily to tease Arie that way!! The only upside to this is that, well, what do you know?, Emily has a sense of humor and is capable of joking around a bit! I wonder if she ever plays poker? She sure has that po-o-k-er face! What a relief when she actually gave Arie the rose! Good thing he accepted it without teasing her back, I don’t think I could have handled that much drama in one episode!

Back at the castle, chateau, mansion, what ever that place is, the cocktail party ensues and once again all the men are vying for time with Emily. She has already sent one bachelor dad home for crying and missing his son too much, now whose heart will she break?

She has a conversation with Alessandro who is sooo totally weird! I couldn’t figure out what he was talking about and I don’t think Emily could either. Her friends did not like him at all when they interviewed him at the park. I think they would have been okay with the fact that he cheated and had one night stands, but he crossed the line at doing it with his cousin. After all, this is the South. That never ever happens here! Shame on Alesandro, shame!  ”Ewe!”

Here are the rose finalists. . .

Jef

Charlie

Doug

Man they all look so sweaty! If they can get Emily’s make up right, why can’t they control the shine on these boys?

Michael

His hair is pretty. He is a very pretty man. I have no idea what she likes about him, but I think she likes the hair.

Travis

Who is that again? When did he arrive?

Alejandro

Why?? I have nothing else to say, just – why?

Ryan

What is up with that manscape on his face? He is sexy, yet he frightens me. I don’t trust him.  There is something bad behind that smile.

John

Kalon

Darn it! Besides being super cute eye candy, why, oh why can’t she see what a dick Kalon is?

And, to quote the finest man there, Chris Harrison,

“The Final Rose Tonight. . . “

Nate!!!

Yes, he is a hottie! He can stay. Mmm hmm! Me likey!

Poor Stevie, the Party MC. Yes, folks, “Bug Eye Guy” has left the building!  Hmm . . . Kalon looks incredibly smug as Stevie is left without a rose. He looks like he just put itching powder in Stevie’s sleeping bag or something. . .  Stevie’s deep contemplative thoughts as he describes his shattered heart?  “It sucks.” Yes, it does, Stevie! See ya at the party, MC.

I can’t wait to see what happens next week.  And so far as I can tell, the clips of previews from the next episode are a long shot as to if they are even being shown next week, so who knows what can happen next?, on The Bachelorette!

Well, I guess it is Emily.  Yes, I am sure Emily knows!!

Who do you think Emily is dreaming of tonight?
