How would you describe yourself?
I am a full-time working professional, wife, and mother of 2. I am slightly introverted in unfamiliar situations, but I become much more extroverted once I become comfortable.
How long have you been involved in your business?
I just started with this business 3.5 months ago!
What is your why?
Regarding The Pout Pack, my “why” is because it’s a fun business. I initially joined just to get a personal discount on the products that I love. However, once other people started learning about the products I was using, it evolved into a small business. I enjoy sharing these fantastic products with other people!
Tell us a little about your family.
I have a wonderful supportive husband who is also a working professional. We have 2 beautiful young children who bring us incredible joy, keep us busy, and provide motivation for us to be as successful as possible.
How do you prioritize family and your business?
No matter what, my family will always be my #1 priority. Putting my family first lays the groundwork for a healthy home life, which, in turn, makes it easier to strike a good work-life balance. Luckily, I have a very supportive and understanding husband who helps me to keep that healthy balance between work and family time.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In 5 years, I will have achieved enough success with my small business and my full-time career, that I will be able to cut my total work hours back and spend even more of that time with my family.
What keeps you motivated?
My children keep me motivated. They are the reason I work as hard as I do. I want them to see that you can achieve your goals as long as you put in the work and believe in yourself.
Biggest life lesson learned?
Sometimes a failure can be the key to future success. You’re not going to be successful in each one that you do. If you keep trying, you will eventually reach your goals, even if they are not the exact same goals you started out with.
Biggest lesson you’ve learned in business?
You can’t be afraid of rejection! Otherwise, you’ll never move forward. Take the rejection, learn something from it, and move on!
What is your secret to success?
It’s not really a secret. I surround myself with positive people and ignore the naysayers.
All entrepreneurs encounter bad days. How do you handle yours?
I remind myself that, no matter how bad things seem, they could always be worse.
What was your sweetest success story?
I reached far out of my comfort zone and went “Live” on Facebook to talk about my business and generated 2 new customers immediately afterwards.
How do you relax?
I curl up with my husband on the couch after the children have gone to bed and watch one of our “guilty pleasure” TV shows.
What are your most popular products?
By far, my most popular product is LipSense. It is a waterproof, smudge-proof, kiss-proof lip color that can last up to 18 hours!
What are your favorite business tools? What business apps, products, and tools do you use daily to run your business/life efficiently? What could you not function without?
I post very regularly on both Instagram and Facebook. I also use the Pic Collage and Word Swag apps to create personalized graphics for my postings.
Any advice you have for other women who want to start their own business?
Don’t be afraid to just dive right in! Make sure to have someone you can lean on as a mentor and/or support system.

I do not send out a monthly newsletter at this time. However, this is something that I am looking at doing once my business grows more.
